It’s time for perspectives, not predictions

Today, we attended the Warehouse Conference, an annual meeting of storage and industrial property market experts.

The experts agreed that under the current circumstances it is difficult to make predictions; they mostly discussed perspectives and feelings. The experts talked about the new age of distributors epoch after the withdrawal of international brands, and a throwback to the “Soviet” storage model following the supply chain disruptions when a modern warehouse with a fast turnover uses higher density storage. They also hoped ESG is still relevant even as the international companies, the key drivers of this trend, are suspending their operations.

Andrey Vishnevsky, Director for Industry and Logistics, Spectrum, spoke at the conference. He said: "There are prospects. We can see them. An interesting point is the development of land ports and logistic centers around them. Regarding Iran and the so-called North-South Silk Road, we also see the prospects and the investors are interested in such projects."
