Modeling of aerodynamic impacts on installations

Simulation of wind impacts on high-rise buildings is a primary engineering objective, due to the fact that such analysis shows the stability resource, dynamics, structural scheme and materials consumption of the buildings. For example, aerodynamic optimization of the outer shape of Taipei 101 tower (Taiwan) with respect to wind rose to allow a decrease design bending moment by 30% and save several hundred million dollars. Wind pressures on façade structures define their strength and durability. Resonance phenomena caused by wind are very important for large-span structures and bridges. Methods of aerodynamic optimization of buildings cover forms allow mitigation snow and wind loads.
